Snow Patrol - Eyes Open Album

After becoming stars in Europe and overseas, the Irish rock band Snow Patrol is back with their Eyes Open album. Snow Patrol continues to rock on with a sound that mixes Coldplay with R.E.M. which brought them early success on college radio. Lead singer Gary Lightbody croons over strings, light guitars and electronic piano. This album is filled with ballads' such as "You're All that I Have," singing about the emotions of love and loneliness. With the recent success of the hit television show "Gray's Anatomy," Snow Patrol's "Chasing Cars," is featured in a few of the episodes. A more uplifting rock tune can be heard on "Hands Open." The Eyes Open album is a great blend of alternative rock, accompanied by ballads, love and lost songs, and some catchy rock. Snow Patrol's fan base will only grow from this innovative album.
